2015 in Review - Part 1 of 3

Well, I'm coming right along on the updates - at least we're on 2015 now!! :) My plan for last year is to go ahead with three "year in review" posts similar to what I did with the other years. The difference though is that once I'm done with those, I'm going to go back and do several in depth posts on other various happenings as well as our building and moving process!  Hope you enjoy all of them!

We enjoyed an "EK" meeting before heading out for a night of witnessing at Bricktown!

Seth turned 12!

Reading time

We enjoyed an evening of fellowship with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas. The kids loved Mr. Thomas' drums!!

Cheese making

Shen lost some teeth!!

Arts and crafts!

We had a great evening of fellowship with the Ahlgren's!

Sabrina turned 18!

We did some packing early on in the year to get ready for house showings. Let me tell you - it was SO nice when we were done with house showings!!! :)

The Howell family welcomed a precious new daughter, Verity, into their home. (I just love big brother Peter's face in this picture!)

Several of us girls enjoyed the opportunity to spend some extra time with the Howell's while they were settling into life with a new little one.

You may remember that I always loved sky pictures - I still do. :)

My mother got all of us girls new aprons!! I was all set in my favorite colors!!

Julia and Sabrina had matching braces!

We enjoyed being able to show some of the "O" family our new property and Titus actually let me hold him. :)

My dear friend Sarah and I.

I turned 23!

We were visited by a rather large turtle (much to the distress of our dogs!).

Sayer turned 10 which also meant he was able to get his first military ID!

We had to use our storm shelter for the first time ever - and our parents were gone for the day! Thankfully the tornado ended up touching down about 10 minutes away from us and didn't do any damage. I think our parents were more bothered by the situation than we were! I could just barely get reception if I held my phone at arms length up at the vent hole, so we were able to keep them updated. :) Sienna, our war history lover, said she could imagine what we heard were air raid sirens and we were down in a bomb shelter!!

Cleaning out the attics for moving.

Lots of sorting!

I love the clouds in this picture.

Sienna turned 15!

January Update!

Hey everyone!

Just a quick update before we get on with a review of 2015!! I know there has been a lag in my posts this past week, but I've been sorting through pictures in my spare time and I think I have about 17 posts of 2015 coming your way shortly!!

It has been a good month so far. The weather has been great! We've had a couple days of snow flurries, but all in all it has actually been quite warm - at least warm enough to make working outside bearable!! :) That has been nice since we've been working hard to finish up fencing and animal shelters. That brings me to my next piece of news...our dogs and cows are home!!! Special thanks to the friends who kept them so long - it was SUCH a blessing!!!

Besides all that, we've had several inside projects that we've been finishing up, we're feeling more settled, and we had our first company! More posts to come on all of that, but I'm going to do 2015 first! :)

Hope you enjoy all the posts!!

2014 In Review - Part 4 of 4

Stasia turned 13!

We had a lovely family vacation at the beach!

We really enjoyed having a round table for the week. You can see everyone better!!

Mom had her 50th birthday!!

We also got to spend a lovely couple of days with the Harris family! They did a surprise birthday celebration for my mother too! :)

On the way home, we were able to spend a wonderful time with the Turley's!

We butchered chickens (and a few ducks!). This picture is proof that I helped (which is a big accomplishment for me - just ask anyone who really knows me!).

Mom and Seth actually got the first deer of our family - they found it dying by our road and we ended up calling a friend who helped us dress it.

Us kids got to see our new property for the first time!!

We were so excited!!

Mmmmmm...a homemade latte!

Shen turned 6!

:)

Yes, they're buddies!

Our annual deep, deep, cleaning!

My dear friend Catherine and I.

All of us with grandpa!

Our family 2014.

2014 In Review - Part 3 of 4

Piano lessons

It wouldn't be summer with the Cochran's unless we had an outing (or two!) at Cherry Berry!

Awwww...

Do you see a problem with this picture?!!! :)
It actually brings up a different problem we had that year - mice in our attic!!! I confess I was a bit skeptical when I asked the boys to check the trap and they quickly returned with the news that we had caught a snake - in the attic!!!

The boys always enjoyed watering the plants while holding their ducks!

Everyone was trying on daddy's old flight helmet. :)

Our cousin Lori and her kids came for a visit!!

Too much work in the office...

...apparently produces this!!

The Ocker's hosted a fun Labor Day cookout at the Right Path. It was a great day! Everyone had the opportunity to do some sort of performance.

We did a musical play of David and Goliath!

We had the honor of being able to meet Mr. Paul Rogers - who was, at the time, the oldest living survivor of the Band of Brothers (101 Airborne Division).

Sabrina got her permit!!

We made homemade root beer floats. YUM!! They were even made with stevia!!!

One of Joshua's flights brought him to the area, so we got to enjoy a visit (we were only wishing Tabitha could have been there as well!).

The Bender family put together a lovely Mother/Daughter western tea!

It was such a fun day!

Sisters and coffee - a wonderful combination!

This is one of my favorite Cochran sibling pictures of all time.

**Note** Also during this time, our search for property was begun. Unfortunately, I don't have many pictures of this process!! :(
